Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to support a woman’s health during pregnancy. As the body changes to accommodate a growing baby, increased weight, shifting posture, and hormonal changes can place extra strain on the spine and pelvis. Gentle chiropractic adjustments can help maintain proper spinal alignment, improve mobility, and reduce common discomforts such as lower back pain, hip pain, and sciatica. Many women also report improved sleep, easier movement, and a greater sense of overall well-being during their pregnancy when under chiropractic care.
One specialized approach often used for expecting mothers is the Webster Technique. This is a gentle, non-invasive chiropractic method designed to balance the pelvis, relax surrounding muscles and ligaments, and create optimal conditions for both mother and baby. By improving pelvic alignment, the Webster Technique may help reduce intrauterine constraint, supporting ideal fetal positioning for birth. Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Kaleb are trained in Webster Technique to safely support our pregnant community.

Pediatric chiropractic care offers a gentle, non-invasive approach to supporting a child’s developing spine and nervous system. Unlike adult adjustments, those for babies and young children use very light pressure—often no more than the amount used to test the ripeness of a tomato. These gentle techniques can help ease common issues such as colic, breastfeeding difficulties, reflux, and sleep disturbances, all while supporting proper growth and development. Regular chiropractic visits may also promote better immune function and improve overall comfort in growing bodies. With a focus on safety and softness, pediatric chiropractors provide a nurturing and effective form of care tailored to even the tiniest patients.

Chiropractic care is a natural approach that has shown significant benefits for those who suffer from chronic headaches, particularly tension and cervicogenic headaches. Focusing on spinal alignment, especially in the neck and upper back, which can often be the root cause of recurring head pain. When the spine is misaligned, it can create muscle tension, restrict nerve function, and reduce blood flow — all of which can contribute to headache frequency and intensity. Through spinal adjustments, manual therapy, and posture correction, chiropractic treatment helps reduce the triggers that cause headaches, offering long-term relief and improved quality of life. Effective stretches for when you have a headache: -Retraction stretch (tucking the chin straight back to align the spine), -Upper trapezius stretch (tilting the head sideways toward the shoulder while holding the opposite side to stretch the neck), -Levator scapulae stretch (looking down and to the side while gently pulling the head forward). These movements help relieve neck tension, improve posture, and promote blood flow, making them powerful tools in managing and preventing headaches.

Chiropractors focus on spinal alignment & mobility, which are often key contributors to discomfort in the neck and shoulders. Gentle adjustments can reduce nerve irritation, improve range of motion, and promote natural healing. Many patients report immediate relief after a session, while others experience gradual improvements over a few visits without relying on medication. In addition to in-office treatment, we often recommend stretches and exercises to maintain spinal health and reduce recurrence. Three effective stretches include: Chin tuck (gently pulling the chin backward to align the spine) Upper trapezius stretch (tilting the head to one side and holding) Levator scap stretch (looking down toward the armpit while gently pulling the head forward). To build strength and support for the neck, try exercises like: Isometric neck holds (pressing the head into the hand without movement) Scapular retractions (squeezing shoulder blades together) Wall angels (raising arms up and down while keeping them against a wall) Incorporating these techniques alongside chiropractic care creates a holistic path to recovery and long-term neck health.
